A General History of the Robberies and Murders of the most notorious Pyrates is a  book published in Britain containing biographies of contemporary pirates. Considered the prime source for the biographies of many well-known pirates, the book gives an almost mythical status to the more colourful characters, and it is likely that the author used considerable license in his accounts of pirate conversations.

History[]

Season Four[]

After returning to London and reuniting with her children, Mrs. Hudson reads to them from the book.

Trivia[]

  • The time in  XXXVIII, the episode in which the book appears, is sometime around the winter of 1716. While the scene the book appears in could be a flashforward to 1724, it seems unlikely given the fact that all of her children are still very young.
