The Abaco Islands are situated in the northern Bahamas. They comprise the main islands of Great and Little Abaco, along with smaller barrier cays.

The islands are less than 100 miles north of Nassau.

Season Four[]
Before the Pirate Fleet invades Nassau, Woodes Rogers purchases three ships cheaply from Abaco and scuttles them in the bay. Billy Bones and Featherstone try to send a message to the Maroon Island but it is intercepted by Max.
When the Pirate Fleet arrives, the Walrus, Eagle and Defiant run aground on the scuttled ships, forcing them to abandon their ships. The survivors rendezvous with Billy and his men, and Billy tells them that he tried to send word.
