Biography[]
Season One[]
Miranda Barlow writes to him on the advice of Richard Guthrie, Thomas’s friend, to secure a pardon on behalf of the pirate captain, James Flint. She says that although he may know Flint based on the stories the judge has heard about Flint’s reputation, he in fact desires to repent. She describes Flint as a good man who wants to seek forgiveness and rejoin civilization. She encloses with the letter a bill of exchange for five hundred pounds to be used at Thomas’s discretion towards procuring the pardon. She urges speed however, because Flint is caught in a dangerous plot with evil men who will kill him if they learn of his betrayal. Miranda entrusts the letter with Captain Dyfed Bryson of the Andromache. When the ship is boarded by Flint’s crew, Billy Bones finds the letter in Bryson’s cabin and reads it later that night.
Quotes[]
