The Andromache Mate was a high ranking member of the crew of the Andromache, the largest of the Guthrie Trading Company’s ships.
Biography[]
Season One[]
The Mate is one of the 20 surviving members of the crew of the Andromache after Captain Flint and the pirate crew of the Walrus board the ship. He retreats into the bunker with the rest of the survivors led by Captain Dyfed Bryson. This begins a long, protracted siege, with the Walrus pirates trying to breach the bunker before sunrise, as the Scarborough, a Royal Navy man o’ war, is waiting nearby.
The Mate is sent to investigate a loud noise belowdecks in the slave hold. When he asks what’s going on, Mr. Scott says Eme is causing the disruption. The Mate menacingly approaches and picks her up. Mr. Scott then comes up behind him and strangles him to death, and then begins freeing the other slaves.
