History[]

Season Three[]

After leaving his wife Mary, Edward Teach sails his ship into the city, before setting sail for Nassau. While there, he is intercepted by CalebTom and Edgar, his wife's brothers. They board the ship and approach him in his cabin. There, they try to force him to return to their sister, threatening to kill him if he does not comply. Teach tells them that he cannot do that, and said he explained to Mary his reasons for leaving, and she said she undestood and would not protest. Tom angrily asks if Teach is calling his sister a liar, to which Teach answers that they're standing before him. He says he can think of three lies she told them in order to bring that about. The first, she likely told them that he retired from a prosperous trade, what she neglected to mention was that trade was high seas piracy. The second, she told them his name was Drummond, but when he was a pirate, he went by Teach. The third, she led them to believe that they could point their swords at him, and live to tell the tale. Teach slowly rises and reveals his full armament of pistols, before telling them that that was less than the truth. He quickly shoots the three brothers. Tom lives long enough to crawl to the door before expiring. Teach then orders the frightened sailor waiting outside his cabin to set a course for Nassau.

Sometime afterwards, Flint leads the men of the Walrus crew in attacking the town. Approaching from the interior and using the sugarcane to conceal their approach, the vanguard attack at night. They are met with resistance by the Colonial Regulars stationed in town. Flint is nearly killed several times, but is unfazed by this and cuts his way towards the magistrate's home. There, he finds Hazzard, and his wife praying in the corner of the room. Flint asks why Hazzard hanged the men in his square when he knew the consequences, and Hazzard explains that it is because he knew that if he acquiesced to Flint, then civilization would be dead in Bath. Hazzard also tries to say that the other Magistrates that Flint killed were corrupt, while he is an honest man. Unmoved by this, Flint shoots Hazzard and then executes his wife, briefly hallucinating that her corpse is Miranda Barlow. Afterwards, the pirates set fire to the town and return to the ship with their plunder.
