The Baymen Island is an island in the Bahamas a few days from Nassau by skiff. It is home to his large camp, which serves as a shantytown and fortress.
Geography[]
The island is quite close to New Providence Island, as it is easily reachable by skiff. It is heavily forested, allowing Albinus to easily ply his trade. Located inland is a large camp, which is relatively primitive in construction.
People[]
The people in the camp are largely a mixture of slaves, and the former pirate crew of Albinus. Some of the slaves are children, and there are women in the camp. They live a rather hardscrabble lifestyle, despite their lucrative business. The camp itself consists of simple wooden buildings, and the people dress in animal skins, and have matted, unwashed hair.

Background[]
At some point, Albinus retired from a life of piracy. He went into the timber business, and his former crew served as lumberjacks and foremen. Albinus also used slave labor, branding all the slaves in his possession on their chests. Charles Vane was one such slave, before eventually escaping and becoming a pirate[1].
Season One[]
After losing his ship and crew due to the machinations of Eleanor Guthrie, Vane travels to the island in order to enlist Albinus’ aid in reforming his crew. He arrives at night and finds Albinus by a fire in a wooded clearing[2].
Vane is taken to the camp. The next day, after some negotiations, Albinus agrees to lend him a dozen men, with a share for every three men. Vane then confronts and eventually kills Albinus. Albinus’ crew then join Vane, and they depart for Nassau[1].
When they arrive on New Providence, Vane leads his men in surprising the garrison of Fort Nassau, killing them and taking over the fortress[3].
