Biography[]
Season Three[]
The Lieutenant serves as Commodore Chamberlain’s second on the HMS Milford during the Battle of the Maroon Island. The battle begins with Rogers’ fleet bombarding the pirates’ and Maroons’ defensive positions with their cannons, before deploying the ground forces in longboats. The pirates are eventually forced to retreat into the jungle.
Meanwhile, the British fleet waits by the shore, holding their position. They suddenly spot a second fleet of six ships heading towards them, flying the British flag. The Lieutenant asks Chamberlain if it’s possible that one of Governor Rogers’ calls for assistance was heard and the fleet is reinforcement from a sister colony. They signal the second fleet, showing their fleet identification, and ask the other to do the same. The second fleet instead raises the black. Chamberlain orders that the rest of the fleet be signaled to divide their gun crews and prepare the larboard batteries. The Lieutenant then relays the order to the crew and the rest of the fleet. As the Pirate Fleet gets into a battle line, the Lieutenant asks Chamberlain if they actually intend on exchanging broadsides with the numerically superior British fleet.
While the two fleets exchange broadsides, Edward Teach sails his flagship towards the Milford, and a group of pirates sneaks aboard the Orion and takes over the ship. They fire her stern chasers directly into the bow of the Milford, decimating the gun crews. Chamberlain orders the gun crews to resume firing, but the Lieutenant asks him how, pointing out that most of them are dead or injured. He then asks Chamberlain if the crew should prepare to repel boarders. Chamberlain orders the anchor cables be cut and to signal the line to retreat.
Season Four[]
Billy Bones tells Captain Flint that after the Battle at the Maroon Island, Commodore Chamberlain led Rogers’ ships and soldiers back to England due to war breaking out with Spain. While a mutiny is led and hundreds of soldiers remain behind, the Lieutenant is not among them.
