Background[]
Chase is one of the Redcoats who mutinies against Commodore Chamberlain when he attempts to return Woodes Rogers' First Fleet to England. Captain Berringer leads the mutiny, desiring to remain in Nassau and get revenge on the pirates and Maroons for defeating them at the Maroon Island.
Season Four[]
Chase is part of the crew on the Lion, which Rogers sails away from Nassau to lure away Edward Teach. Teach falls for the bait and boards the Lion, but a trap is sprung and he is captured and his ship surrenders. After Teach's execution, the pirate prisoners are kept shackled in the Lion while Rogers and his men sail the Revenge.
After learning of Nassau's fall, Rogers orders Lieutenant Kendrick to take command of the Lion and bring the pirates to Port Royal to be tried and hanged by Governor Addison and his men. Kendrick offers to have Chase take command instead, wanting to be a part of the fight to reclaim Nassau. Rogers insists Kendrick be the one who captains the Lion.
