Cornwall is a region of England, located in the southwest at the westernmost point of the peninsula.

Background[]

Cornwall is the homeland of the Cornish people, a former Celtic nation.

James McGraw was raised by his grandfather, a fisherman in Padstow, a fishing port on the north end of the peninsula. 

Lloyd’s of London, an insurance company,  has offices in Cornwall.

Flint tells Miranda Barlow about the youth of his grandfather who raised him in Padstow. 

Season Three[]

Woodes Rogers sends petitions to Lloyd’s of London saying that the damage done to the Willing Mind the previous night during the escape of the Pirate Fleet  was no fault of their own, and thus insurable. Rogers tells Eleanor Guthrie that in a month, a clerk for the company in Cornwall will write to Charles Vane asking for his version of the events, and payment will be withheld for years.
