Darrell Mclean is a stuntman who worked on Black Sails.
Career[]
Mclean worked as an assistant stunt coordinator for the first three seasons of Black Sails, and was the stunt coordinator for the first eight episodes of Season Four. Mclean also appeared in episode IX. as the pirate Davey, who is executed in London in a flashback to 1705. In Season Four, he appeared as the pirate Carver in episode XXXII.[1]
In the finale of Season Two, Mclean portrayed a militia guard at Flint's trial in Charles Town and got his jaw accidentally broken by Zach McGowan after asking him to hit him for real in the face with a prop gun, thinking that the rubber would not hurt him. This incident can be seen in the final cut of the episode[2].
Mclean's other work includes working as the stunt coordinator for The Last Post, Ice, The Widow and The Watch. He also worked as a an assistant stunt coordinator on Troy: Fall of a City and a stunt performer on Warrior[1].
