History[]
Season One[]
Mr. Scott brings news to Eleanor Guthrie that a crew of ten just arrived from Carolina with 50 barrels of tobacco and a fluyt’s worth of rare silks.
In the warehouse, Eleanor meets with Captain Bridge, who is surprised to be dealing with Richard Guthrie’s daughter. She explains that she and Mr. Scott run the operation, and that she takes roughly half their profits in exchange for the transportation of the cargo. Bridge does not like this, and announces his intention to sail toPort Royal instead. Eleanor advises him not to make that known and he asks why. Charles Vane then arrives and says that the last person who did that disappeared, but his plunder was brought to Eleanor the next day. Bridge, realizing that Vane was the seller, challenges him, saying he’ll be more of a match and proudly introduces himself. Vane then introduces himself, and Bridge realizes who he is facing. He then turns to Eleanor and asks if Mr. Scott takes their goods.
