Donkeys are a domesticated hoofed mammal of the horse family with long ears and a braying call, used as a beast of burden.
Donkeys were originally domesticated in Egypt or Mesopotamia. They can still be found in the wild in Africa.

Season One[]
A donkey can be heard braying outside the Inn in Nassau.
Someone drives a cart hitched to two black donkeys while Jack Rackham meets with Gruenwald in a smithy in Nassau.
Season Two[]
A donkey can be heard braying while Jack Rackham sits in an outhouse, while those waiting in line angrily tell him to hurry up.
A donkey begins braying while Jack tries to recruit men to start a new crew.
Season Three[]
Jack Rackham happens upon Russell loading a cart hitched to two donkeys with lumber to be driven to Fort Nassau to assist in fort repairs. After answering Jack's questions about their purpose, Russell departs.
