The Livro Traças de Carpintaria (Book of Carpentry Moths) is a book by Portuguese shipwright Manoel Fernandez published in 1616.
The book contains a collection of texts describing ship types and a collection of drawings representing the same.

Flint inspects the library which contains the book, in the captain’s cabin of the Spanish Man O’ War and remarks that a shelf of books contains so many possibilities. Dufresne says nothing rang familiar to him and Flint lies and says neither for him.
