Whales are a widely distributed and diverse group of aquatic mammals. Humpback and sperm whales are the most common species of whales in the Caribbean.

History[]

Season One[]

After taking Parrish’s Ship, the Walrus crew finds at least eight barrels of whale oil. Gates reports this to Dufresne

Season Three[]

While starving in the Doldrums, the Walrus crew spots a dead whale floating nearby. De Groot warns that whales float when they’ve been rotting, but John Silver decides to row out to it anyway, noting that it is worth at least a week of water and thrice that of food for the starving crew. When he and Flint arrive at the whale carcass, it is far too rotted to eat, but they harpoon several sharks for the crew instead.
