Fremah is a medicine woman and member of the Maroons, living in the large camp on the Maroon Island.
Biography[]
Season Three[]
After Mr. Scott is brought back to the camp wounded, Fremah and others tend to him, using herbal remedies in an attempt to heal him. When Flint is brought to him, Scott orders everyone out to speak with Flint privately. While Scott informs Flint of Nassau’s fall and Woodes Rogers completely taking over, Flint notices the small knife Fremah had been using to cut up some herbs. Flint is able to discreetly take the knife and hide it in his boot. He plans to make his case for a partnership between the pirates and Maroons, but if she does not agree, he will take the Maroon Queen hostage and demand the release of his men. Ultimately, he is able to successfully negotiate the partnership with her[1].
Fremah takes part in the healing ritual performed for Mr. Scott. While it is happening, Madi notices John Silver’s absence and goes to him. She begins to scold him for appearing uncaring, but finds him at his bed, feverish and the stump of his leg badly enflamed. Silver says that it will pass and is only temporary. Madi ordersUdo to watch Silver while she fetches Fremah to tend to Silver. Silver grabs her arm and says he does not want help, and Udo reflexively draws his knife and puts it to Silver’s throat. Madi is able to convince Silver to submit to treatment, although he refuses to be given opium to numb the pain. Madi tries to give him something to bite down on, but Silver says to just get on with it. Fremah then applies a paste to Silver’s wound, which successfully cures him[2].
Fremah continues to tend to Mr. Scott as he drifts closer towards death. When Madi returns from Nassau, she enters her father’s tent. Upon realizing this, Fremah leaves with her attendants to give Madi and her father privacy[3].
