Lord Peter Ashe offers to send James McGraw and Lady Miranda Hamilton toParis after they are commanded to leave England after Thomas’ incarceration. McGraw refuses, and they instead go to Nassau.
Season One[]
Max, an African slave from the French West Indies, works in Nassau as a prostitute in the Inn.
Charleville muskets, standard issue for the French military, are popular with the pirates of Nassau.
Benjamin Hornigold mentions that he heard that James Stuart fled to France and is now called “the Pretender.”
Under Jack Rackham’s ownership, and with Max’s help, the Inn hosts a special event with the theme being “Evenings in Paris.”
Season Two[]
Ned Low mentions toCharles Vane that he has made camp in various places, among them Tortuga.
After sacking Charles Town, Flint and the Spanish Man O' War stop in Tortuga to refit and gather news, of which they found plenty. They learn that Eleanor Guthrie was arrested and on her way to London to stand trial, in the custody of the Royal Navy.
Season Three[]
Max tells Anne how when he was young, she would sneak out of the slave quarters at night to the main house. She would stand outside the window the parlor in the heat and bugs with her toes in the filth to see inside. In the house was a girl her age with beautiful skin. She would dance while her father played music and her mother sewed. The girl would read, eat, sing and sleep, kept safe by her father. Max then reveals that the girl’s father was also her own.
The colony of Martinique is sacked by Captain Flint after the magistrate hangs men for piracy, despite Flint warning that he would visit any magistrate in the New World who did so.
After fleeing Woodes Rogers and his forces, Anne Bonny suggests to Jack Rackham that they flee to Paris, but acknowledges that she doesn’t speak French.
Season Four[]
France, along with the British Empire, the Dutch Republic and the Holy Roman Empire, declare war on the Spanish Empire in the War of the Quadruple Alliance.
Marion Guthrie asks Max how a slave from the French West Indies ended up in Philadelphia trying to remake the world.
