Season Three[]

The Captain presumably commands the Gloucestershire when Woodes Rogers leads his fleet to civilize Nassau. Rogers points the ship out to Eleanor Guthrie while they sail, calling her the least essential ship in the fleet. Rogers tells her that the moment he believes that she is no longer necessary, she will be sent back to London aboard the Gloucestershire for trial and execution.

Later, when Eleanor reveals to Rogers that she once had a sexual relationship with Charles Vane, whom she told Rogers to exclude from the pardon, Rogers orders an aide to inform the Captain that he is about to head home with one extra passenger. Eleanor is able to convince him that her intentions are true.

Season Four[]

Rogers and Eleanor formulate a plan in which Rogers will lure Teach out by sailing to Port Royal, while Eleanor sails to Philadelphia aboard the Gloucestershire. In the meantime, Captain Berringer is to be left in charge of Nassau. Before Eleanor is able to depart, the Captain informs Eleanor that he was just told that their permission to leave has been revoked. He tells a stunned Eleanor that he was told that the soldiers that were to be her escort were needed in town. Nassau is retaken by the pirates shortly afterwards and it is unknown if he survived.
