History[]
Season Two[]
The Goliath is spotted as the Colonial Dawn approaches the merchant vessel the True North. Featherstone identifies the ship as a pirate vessel, but not one that ports in Nassau. After the men of the Colonial Dawn board the True North and subdue her crew, the Goliath pulls alongside and Captain Linus Harcourt leads his men aboard. Harcourt offers Jack Rackham three options: the crews fight it out, the captais fight it out, or the captains negotiate a split of the prize cargo. Rackham chooses the third option, but Harcourt offers him a terrible deal on the grounds that his crew are better fighters and outnumber Jack's men. Jack feigns acceptance before cutting Harcourt's throat, eventually killing him. Before the two pirate crews can start shooting at each other, Jack tells everyone that Harcourt demanded that whatever the deal was, the merchant crew would be slaughtered,

something Jack could not abide. He then orders his men to cut the True North men free of their bonds and arm them. Now outnumbered, Jack asks the Goliath crew if there are any among them who is willing to sit down and reach a reasonabe agreement. After some hesitation, the Goliath's Quartermaster sheathes his sword and sits down with Jack, eventually reaching a deal that satisfies both pirate crews.

Trivia[]
- The Goliath is named after the biblical Philistine warrior of the same name. Goliath was slain by David, a mere boy, with a single slingshot to the eye. When Rackham remarks about how this name is actually synonymous with colossal failure, Harcourt replies that his crew just likes how it sounds.
- One of the crew members of the Goliath is seen wielding a Nock Gun, an anachronistic multibarreled musket created in 1779.
