Biography[]

Background[]

The Heckling Redcoat was one of hundreds of soldiers who mutinied after they were commanded to return to England due to the outbreak of the War of the Quadruple Alliance. Led by Captain Berringer, they swore a loyalty oath to Rogers personally, desiring to avenge their defeat at the Battle of the Maroon Island

Season Four[]

The Heckling Redcoat is part of a skeleton crew left aboard the Lion under Lieutenant Kendrick’s command ordered to sail the Lion to Port Royal and deliver the pirates in the hold to Governor Addison for trial and execution. However, Kendrick instead chooses to have Jack Rackham, the most senior surviving member of the pirate crew, choose members of his own crew to fight Mr. Milton, a hulking soldier. If he refuses to choose, then Kendrick promises that Anne Bonny, Jack’s lover, will be pitted against him.

Jack first has Mr. Carver, seemingly the most formidable of the remaining pirates, to fight Milton. The Heckling Redcoat, holding the keys to the shackles, unlocks him. Despite scoring some good hits early on, Milton uses his superior size and strength to knock Carver to the ground. Carver is then handed a mallet, and he begins bludgeoning Carver to death. Kendrick then orders Jack to choose another.

After at least a dozen men are killed, Kendrick asks Jack again. This time, Jack refuses to choose, and Anne is freed to fight Milton. After getting knocked down, Anne struggles to rise, and the Heckling Redcoat jeers at her and orders her to get up. He then kicks her, knocking her back to the floor, and Milton hits her in the stomach. However, she crawls to a shattered lantern and grabs two large pieces of broken glass. She then stabs Milton, and when the Heckling Redcoat goes to confront her, but Anne stabs him in the side and throws his keys to the pirate. As the Heckling Redcoat screams in pain and falls to the ground, the pirates begin to free themselves and attack the soldiers, slaughtering them and taking over the ship.
