History[]
Season One[]
Captain Flint owns a black horse which he often uses to get between Nassau and the Barlow Estate. Gates brings Richard Guthrie to the estate in a horse drawn cart.
Pastor Lambrick arrives at the Barlow Estate in the dead of night on horseback, startling a pair of dogs who run off barking.
A Horse Riding Slave gallops past Pastor Lambrick preaching in a field and arrives at Miranda Barlow’s house, where he informs her that Captain Flint has returned to the island.
Season Two[]
Eleanor Guthrie arrives at theBarlow Estate on horseback with two guards.
In a series of flashbacks to 1705, Lieutenant James McGraw, Lord Thomas Hamilton and Lady Miranda Hamilton use horse drawn carriages to travel around London.
When Miranda learns that Flint is about to make his final assault on Fort Nassau to oust Charles Vane with Abigail Ashe, daughter of their former friend Lord Peter Ashe, inside, she prepares a horse drawn carriage and rushes to stop him.
When traveling to the Underhill Estate by carriage to conclude negotiations for a partnership between Underhill and Eleanor, Richard Guthrie and his men are ambushed by Charles Vane and his crew.
Season Three[]
Woodes Rogers transports Eleanor Guthrie to the docks where his fleet is anchored by carriage.
When the bulk of the pirates of Nassau surrender to the new governor, Woodes Rogers, Jack Rackham and Anne Bonny escape with their share of the Urca de Lima gold that they had exchanged for pearls and gems. They use a horse and cart to transfer it.
Lieutenant Hersey is sent on horseback with a message from Jack to Anne to surrender the cache. However, the message is coded and Anne kills him. Several soldiers bring the body back to Nassau with his horse.
Woodes Rogers attempts to transport Jack Rackham and the Urca gems to a ship waiting on the southern coast in a horse drawn carriage with an escort of eight dragoons. However, they are ambushed by Captain Flint and his men on horseback, and they abscond with Jack and the gems and Rogers is injured. However, He shoots Vane before he is able to escape, causing his horse to flee. The two then begin fighting until Hornigold’s militia arrives on horseback and arrest Vane.
Featherstone and Idelle use a horse and small carriage to travel to and from the Barlow Estate to help Billy try and free Vane before his execution.
At Vane's execution, he is brought into town from the fort on the back of a cart. After saying his final words, the noose is placed on his neck and the horse attached to the cart that he is standing on urged forward. As it moves away, Vane walks off, defiantly going to his end.
At the Battle of the Maroon Island, Captain Hornigold and Major Rollins lead their force of British Regulars and militia into the jungle on horseback. They are ambushed by the pirates and Maroons, and both are killed, with Hornigold being shot off his horse by Flint.
Season Four[]
A posse of Redcoats and militia, which includes mounted soldiers and hunting dogs, is sent to scour the Wrecks for Long John Silver. They return to Nassau empty-handed save for a note attached to the bodies of three soldiers killed by Flint and his men.
Silver leads his men in entering Nassau Town on horseback before dismounting at the square as they face off Captain Berringer and his Redcoats.
Madi travels with Kofi and Obi to the Underhill Estate to try and repair the pirate-Maroon alliance that had been damaged by the actions of Billy Bones.
Rogers convinces Governor Raja of Cuba to help him drive out the pirates of Nassau. Havana’s fleet opens fire on the town before moving their soldiers ashore. Mounted lancers are sent to flank the pirates attempting to hold out at the Underhill Estate, and succeed in forcing them to retreat into the sugar mill. However, the Spanish force at the plantation is killed or driven off by the arrival of Julius and his men.
When Max attempts to find Eleanor and warn her about the invasion by riding to her last known location, but only finds Jack Rackham and chooses to flee with him rather than risk getting caught in the open.
Marion Guthrie and Max take a carriage to the riverfront in Philadelphia.
