Biography[]
Season Two[]
Jeffries survives the disastrous attack on the Spanish Man O’ War and continues to serve under Captain Flint.
While John Silver tells the crew about the first time he saw Charles Town, and was amazed by the city walls and the patrol ships. He says that his first mate told him that Charles Town is a place “resolved never to be fucked with.” He then tells the crew that he saw a pirate being hanged in the square while the townspeople cheered. When Mr. Scott remarks that Silver may be the equal of Captain Flint in terms of their ability to shape a story to their will. Billy Bones scoffs and says that the pirate story is Bernard’s, while the bit about the first mate is Jeffries’. Scott says it isn’t important whose story it is, but the power of the telling is clearly Silver’s.
Quotes[]
