Season One[]
One of Burgess' crew mates, Sanderson, is drinking at the bar in the tavern and insults Eleanor Guthrie. Eleanor asks Mr. Scott who Sanderson is a member of the crew of the Trinity. Scott also tells Eleanor that their last haul was nearly a thousand in profit, their best haul in months.
Season Three[]
Jack Rackham names Captain Burgess as a pirate captain that they can rally to participate in a massive show of force against the fleet arriving carrying the new Royal Governor, Woodes Rogers. Featherstone is rather skeptical about his willingness to join the cause.

Trivia[]
- Josiah Burgess was pirate in real life and was considered one of the most influential pirates in Nassau in 1717, along with Benjamin Hornigold and Henry Jennings. He captained a sloop named the Providence and was among the first to accept Woodes Rogers' pardon. He died in 1719 when his ship went down in a storm off Abaco.
