Captain Parrish's log.

A ship's logscaptain's log, or simply log is a record of important events in the management, operation, and navigation of a ship. It is essential to traditional navigation, and must be filled in at least daily.

History[]

Season One[]

Captain Parrish’s log contained the schedule of the Spanish treasure galleon, L’Urca de Lima. Captain Flint hunted him down in order to procure it. The page containing the schedule was stolen by the Merchant Ship’s Cook, and was stolen by John Silver after he killed the Cook in self defense.

Season Three[]

After being marooned by his crew inside his cabin on the Straight Arrow, Captain Hallendale begins to go insane and writes “we die alone” in his log over and over again before he commits suicide.

Captain Edward Teach has the signal codes for Royal Navy fleet identifications written down in his log.

Season Four[]

Flint tells Dooley the story of Skeleton Island, an isolated island long used for illicit transactions. He tells Dooley that Henry Avery tracked a prize there, but found a Spanish ship that the log identified as having sailed from Havana in 1636. Avery claims to have seen the log, that said that the men of the ship refused to forage inland for food or fresh water, reporting sounds from the forest that sounded like the voice of God warning them to stay away.
