Biography[]

Season Three[]

The Maroons captured the Walrus crew after they happened upon their island. As secrecy was their greatest protection, four of the pirates were tortured and killed to verify their quartermaster, John Silver’s, story about being defeated in battle and washing up on their shores after a storm. The remaining pirates are then imprisoned, waiting to be worked to death. However, Flint is able to negotiate a partnership with the Maroon Queen where they will take Nassau back from the British and then lead a slave rebellion across the New World.

The Maroon is among those led by Kofi to join the crew of the Walrus. While they sail to Ocracoke Island, the crew works on repairing the fore and main masts, which were damaged in the storm. As the Maroon and a number of others try and haul a spar to the tops of the masts, the lashing becomes undone and the spar comes crashing down to the deck. Dobbs becomes angry after barely dodging the falling wood, and rushes towards the Maroon, calling him an idiot and saying that if he can’t tie a rope he shouldn’t be on a ship. Flint, Billy Bones and Kofi then step in to prevent things from escalating.

Flint asks what happened and Dobbs explains that the Maroon’s lashing came undone, which he had showed him how to do it ten minutes ago. Dobbs also adds that someone could have been killed. Flint replies that Dobbs showed the Maroon incorrectly. Dobbs is irritated by this, and says he knows how to tie a lashing. Flint repeats that if the Maroon tied it wrong, then Dobbs instructed him incorrectly. Flint then pulls him close and emphasizes how they persuaded the Maroons that they need the pirates, but the pirates certainly need the Maroons. With that, everyone continues their work.

At Ocracoke, the Maroon goes ashore with a large contingent of the crew. After Flint fails to negotiate with Edward Teach for control of the Pirate Fleet, the two captains agree to a duel. Initially, it appears that Flint has killed Teach with his pistol shot. However, the shot merely grazed his head. During the sword fight, Teach quickly gets the upper hand, and prepares to finish off Flint before Charles Vane intervenes. Teach then orders them all to get off his island.

After they return to the Maroon Island, Flint and the Maroon Queen work out a plan to lure the entirety of Governor Woodes Rogers’ forces to the island by stealing the cache of gems belonging to Jack Rackham. The Walrus is then to return to Nassau. Silver is to lead one group of men to the Tavern, to announce Flint’s return, while Madi is to retrieve a stockpile of weapons that Mr. Scott and his agents maintained over the years. When they land, the Maroon is the first to enter the Tavern, and he alerts Eme to Madi’s arrival. He remains while Silver gives his speech proclaiming Flint's return, and warning the former pirates that if they don't rejoin Flint, they will face reprisals. Dufresne challenges Silver and insults him, but Silver hits him with a tankard and then smashes his head in with his prosthetic leg. Silver and Madi successfully accomplish their tasks, and the two groups rendezvous and return to the Walrus.

The Maroon Sailor participates in the beach defense at the Battle of the Maroon Island. It is unknown if he survives the battle.
