Biography[]

Season Three[]

Along with the rest of the Walrus crew and their Maroon allies, the Pirate Prisoner defends the beach against the British onslaught. The British start by firing the cannons of their ships at the pirates' beach defenses. They then send the Redcoats ashore in longboats. The pirates are initially successful in stemming the British tide by mowing them down with their muskets. However, once the Redcoats bring their mortars to bear, the pirates are devestated by the volleys of shells the British send their way. Eventually, Flint calls for a retreat, leaving behind fifty dead.

About a dozen pirates and Maroons are taken prisoner by the British. While the British forces make camp, Dobbs approaches with a pistol, his task to kill Benjamin Hornigold, who is leading the British land forces. However, Dobbs, angry at his punishment at John Silver's orders, defects. He explains to Hornigold that he did so because he sailed with the crew for months, but they took the side of the Maroons over him. He realized they weren't his brothers, and only cared that he did their bidding. To prove his loyalty, Hornigold orders the Pirate Prisoner be brought forward. He tells Dobbs to shoot him to prove his loyalty, even though the Pirate Prisoner will die either way if Dobbs doesn't shoot him, for some other man will hang him. Dobbs shoots the Pirate Prisoner in the right eye, killing him. Hornigold then cuts Dobbs' bonds and orders Major Rollins to lead his men into the jungle. It is later revealed that Dobbs killed him as part of a ruse to lead Hornigold into an ambush.

Trivia[]
