Porcelain is a ceramic material made by heating materials in a kiln, and it is white in color, although it can be died using paints and glazes. Porcelain originated in China, and is exported to Europe.

Season One[]
Miranda Barlow owns a porcelain tea set. On her final voyage, the Andromache’s cargo consisted of 70 plates of Chinese porcelain, which Captain Bryson intends to deliver to Boston unharmed, despite the fact that Captain Flint is chasing after him. Bryson orders Hayes, his first mate, to put more straw in the chest to ensure the porcelain’s safety.
Season Three[]
While hiding in Miranda Barlow’s abandoned house, Charles Vane inspects her belongings. He tells Flint that all the things in the house, such as the porcelain and books, are all so fragile.
Season Four[]
After the disastrous invasion of Nassau, Flint and his men retreat to the Barlow Estate, which has become the headquarters of the Pirate Resistance. While walking in his old home, he finds a broken porcelain teacup that had once belonged to Miranda. He picks it up and sadly reminisces about her.
