The Posse Commander is a Redcoat in the service of Governor Woodes Rogers and Captain Berringer.
Biography[]
Background[]
The Commander was one of the hundreds of redcoats that mutinied after they were ordered to return home to England. Like his superior Captain Berringer, he wanted revenge for their defeat at the hands of the pirates and Maroons at their island.
Season Four[]
After learning from his spy, Mr. Harrison, that Long John Silver was hiding in the Wrecks, Berringer sent a posse of Redcoats and members of the New Providence Island Militia. The posse had cavalry and the militia men had dogs to track Silver’s scent.
When they arrive at the Wrecks, they search unsuccessfully for him. They discover that Silver escaped, killing three soldiers in the process. The commander and his men return to Nassau empty-handed, and the Commander gives Berringer and Eleanor the grim news. He also passes along the Black Spot letter that Silver left pinned to one of the bodies.
It is unknown if he survived the Fall of Nassau that occurred shortly after this event.
Quotes[]
"Fugitive escaped. Though, not before killing three of my men and fixing that to one of the bodies."
