Biography[]
Season Three[]
After Flint decides to escape Captain Benjamin Hornigold, now a pirate hunter, by sailing into a storm. Rogelio is sent with a small group of men to the top of the mainmast to take town the t’gallants when Flint gives the signal, with another group in the foremast.
De Groot warns Flint that they need to raise the t’gallants or they might lose the masts entirely. Once Hornigold retreats, Flint orders Billy Bones to t’gallants up. Billy calls up to Rogelio, and asks if the halyard is running free. Murtaugh answers that it’s stuck and bound up by the mast. Murtaugh climbs the rope ladder and tries to cut the sail loose but the ship is nearly capsized by a wave and the force of the wind on the sails. Murtaugh is unable to cut away the sails. To prevent the entire ship from capsizing, Flint is forced to cut away the topmasts of the main and foremasts. Once he cuts the rope, the topmasts break off from the ship and are sent flying into the sea.
