Rawl's skiff

Skiffs are shallow, flat-bottomed open boats with a sharp bow and square stern. They are often fitted with a small mast and sail, which are used as the primary method of propulsion. While too small for long, overseas voyages, they can easily be used to travel the distances between many of the various islands of the Bahamas

History[]

Season One[]

Flint and Billy Bones travel toHarbour Island from Nassau by skiff to meet with Richard Guthrie. After escaping Captain Hume of the Royal Navy, who attempted to arrest the three of them, Flint and Billy escape with an injured Guthrie to their skiff and sail back to the Walrus

Charles Vane acquires a skiff to get to Albinus’ Island

Season Two[]

Billy Bones promises to get a skiff for Dufresne and the other eight conspirators in the plot to subdue Flint and bring him to the Royal Navy garrison on Harbour Island in exchange for Royal Pardons. However, Billy reveals that he deceived them and expels them from the crew. 

Season Three[]

Jack Rackham and Anne Bonny flee Nassau after the bulk of the pirates surrender to the new governor, Woodes Rogers. They plan on getting in a skiff and sailing to Port Royal and from there to somewhere else, using the money to protect themselves. However, Jack realizes that he would have to change his name and decides to go back to town and obtain a pardon. 

Season Four []

While sailing back to Nassau aboard the Revenge after defeating Edward Teach, Governor Woodes Rogers and Lieutenant Kendrick spot a skiff sailing away from Nassau towards open water, which they both know is far too small craft to be doing so. They intercept it and find Mr. Rawls and several other civilians aboard, and Rawls informs them that the pirates took back Nassau and killed Captain Berringer
