The Slaver Captain was the captain of a Dutch slave ship that was hunted by Charles Vane.

Biography []

Season Three[]

While the ship was somewhere in the Caribbean, Charles Vane chased after the ship, believing it to be full of timber necessary to rebuild the fort after being told so by Jack Rackham. While Vane was giving chase, the Captain wished to avoid being boarded, so he had his crew throw their cargo of slaves overboard, hoping that Vane would be forced to stop and collect them. However, Vane left the longboats his schooner was towing behind and continued to chase the slaver. The Captain then grimly told his crew to prepare to be boarded.

While his crew was being slaughtered by the pirates, the Captain retreated into his cabin. There, he hastily loaded a pistol with difficulty, his hands shaking out of fright. Charles Vane, bloodied and holding a sword, entered the cabin. The Slaver Captain then shakily took aim at Vane and fired, missing his target by a wide margin. The Captain then sits on his desk, defeated and resigned to his fate. Vane tells him that although the Captain doesn't know of Vane's past as a slave, had he known, he likely would have not thrown his slaves overboard. Vane then throws him overboard, chained to two cannonballs which drag him down to the bottom of the ocean.

Quotes[]

"That man wants my cargo, he can have it. Best point of sail! I want to be long gone by the time he's through collecting his plunder!" - The Slaver Captain to his crew
