The Spanish Captain was the captain of the Spanish Merchant Ship.
Biography[]
Season Three[]
The Captain's ship is chased and surrounded by the Pirate Fleet but he refuses to surrender. When the ship is boarded, he and his entire crew are killed by the pirates. Charles Vane talks to a dying Spaniard and asks why they didn't surrender when they saw the entire fleet, including the Man O' War chasing them. The Spaniard tells him that if they surrender, their employment is terminated, as is the Captain's, and it is made very difficult to find work again. If they fight however, there is a chance that their families are compensated. As he says this, the Spaniard points out the Captain lying dead on the deck, sword in hand.
