History[]
Season Two[]
After Silver's attempt at giving the goings on ends with him getting punched, Flint asks him what he's doing. Silver explains that he grew up in the St. John's Home for Poor Orphan Boys. While there, he knew a boy named Solomon Little. Little had a cleft palette, spotted face and the most unfortunate set of ears Silver has ever seen. Silver said that this boy should have been beaten to within an inch of his life every day if the rules of nature applied. However, no one ever laid a finger on him, because he knew even at that young age, it isn't about getting them to like you, it's about reminding them how much they dislike each other. Every morning, Little would get up and make his address, and Silver says he doesn't think there was a single boy who could live more than a day without it.
Season Four[]
In a flashback on the Maroon Island prior to the invasion, Flint teaches Silver how to swordfight. One day, while they spar, Flint realizes that he knows nothing about Silver's past. Silver says that Flint knows all there is to know, Silver was born in Whitechapel, never knew his mother, and was raised in a home for boys. Flint says that it isn't true. The first time he heard it, it sounded like an invention of one story that bled into others that he had heard from the crew.
