Toby Schmitz is an actor and screenwriter. Schmitz is a member of the cast of the TV series Black Sails. He portrays the role of Jack Rackham, the Quartermaster and right-hand of Captain Charles Vane.
Schmitz also wrote a prequel graphic novel that tells the story of how Jack Rackham and Anne Bonny met set in 1705 titled Rackham's Razor.
Personal life[]
He was born in Perth, the capital city in Western Australia. He attended Perth's Scotch College and for a short period studied law at the University of Western Australia. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1999.
