Toby Stephens is an actor and member of the cast of the TV series Black Sails. He portrays dual roles as James McGraw and Captain Flint. When asked about the Flint character, Stephens says he "saw him more as a kind of a figure from a Western... when I was basing my character I was thinking more of Clint Eastwood".

Stephens was born in Lon​don, England on 21 April 1969. He is the son of two-time Academy Award winning actress, Dame Maggie Smith. 

He is married to actress Anna-Louise Plowman, They have three children: a son, Eli Alistair, and two daughters, Tallulah and Kura.

Acting careerEdit

Stephens is a classically-trained stage actor and has appeared in many stage productions of Shakespeare, including Antony and Cleopatra, A Midsummer's Night Dream, Coriolanus, and All's Well That Ends Well.  He played villain Gustav Graves in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day. He worked as a stagehand at Chichester Festival Theatre in Sussex, England.[1].
