Biography[]
Season Two[]
As Captain Flint’s trial begins, the Crier asks the the jeering crowd that of all the villains on the sea to which they are accustomed to fearing if there is a name spoken with more frequency or revulsion than Captain Flint. He then says that they they will potentially never again do so. The Crier then dasks the crowd to cast their gaze on Flint, who has been brought down by his hubris and folly. He says to behold Flint, who perverts the law, kidnaps their women and slays their blessed sons.
As the Crier continues to speak, he says that they have to put Flint down to teach a lesson to everyone his evil ways. He also says that if the people of Charles Town thought they knew just how evil Flint is, the Crier tells them that they will hear of schemes that are almost impossible to believe during the trial, such as employing his minions to dastardly ends. The Crier then directs the crowd’s attention to the coffin of Miranda Barlow, and says that she is a woman with whom Flint conspired to try and murder Lord Ashe in his own home in front of his daughter. The coffin’s lid is then opened, and the Crier tells the crowd to behold Flint’s minion, who tried and failed to help Flint spread his evil in Charles Town. The crowd then begins throwing rotten vegetables at her body.
The Crier is likely killed either by Charles Vane’s men or when Flint returns to his ship and has his men level the city during the Sack of Charles Town.
Quotes[]
“And lest you thought you knew just how evil and devious he was, you will hear of schemes almost impossible to believe. Employing his minions to dastardly ends. Including a woman he conspired with to murder our lord governor in his own home and in front of his own daughter's eyes. Behold his minion who tried and failed to help Captain Flint spread his evil deeds here in Charles Town.”
