Biography[]
Season Two[]
The Captain's ship is captured by Jack Rackham and the crew of the Colonial Dawn. The Captain and his crew surrender to the pirates and are tied up while the pirates sort through their cargo. a second pirate ship, the Goliath, captained by Linus Harcourt arrives and boards. While the two pirate crews stand off, Harcourt asks Rackham if he has ever split a prize before and he says no. Harcourt offers three options: the captains fight it out, the crews fight it out or the captains sit down and agree to something reasonable. Rackham, knowing he is physically outmatched by Harcourt and his crew is outnumbered, chooses the third option.
They sit down, but Harcourt offers terrible terms where his crew gets 4/5 of the total value, despite the tonnage being split relatively equally. Rackham, not wanting to be voting out by his crew after his first day as captain, cuts Harcourt's throat with his knife. Harcourt and Rackham fight, and Harcourt gains the upper hand, but the wound to his neck kills him. Before the pirates can begin fighting, Rackham asks them to wait. He says that he tried to treat with Harcourt, but Harcourt demanded that the prize crew be slaughtered. Rackham could not abide this, so he killed Harcourt. He then has his men free the True North crew and arm them. Now with well over twice the Goliath's numbers, he asks if there are any among them willing to treat with Rackham. After some hesitation, the Goliath's Quartermaster steps up and sits down with Rackham.
