Vincent was a pirate in Captain Flint's crew. He served under his command aboard both the Walrus and the Spanish Man O' War

Biography[]

Season Two[]

Vincent survives the disastrous battle with the Spanish Man O' War that leaves only 32 members of the Walrus crew alive and the ship is beached on the shores of Florida. After taking the Spanish warship for themselves, the crew returns to Nassau after Flint manages to get himself elected captain again[1]

He and Nicholas are selected to go back to Florida and keep an eye on the Urca's gold and to spy on the Spanish crew guarding it by John Silver. When Silver brings them to Flint, he asks them if they understand their task. Vincent replies that they're to go back and watch the gold. Flint tells them that they need to watch the Spanish soldiers watching the gold. He needs to know routines, schedule and watch strength. They are to return to Division Bay as soon as a longboat can be readied. From there, they are to keep an eye on the treasure galleon's wreck. Flint tells them that he will meet them in two days, and then they'll plan their final assault. After they leave, Flint asks Silver if they're up to the task. Silver replies that they're the only ones who didn't ask for more money when he asked[2]

When they arrive back in Nassau to report that the Spanish have recovered all the gold, they bring this news to Flint, who is in the middle of trying to win an election over the combined Walrus and Royal Lion crew after Benjamin Hornigold challenged him. The gold immediately dismays all the men. Silver manages to speak convincingly enough for Flint that over 70 of the 107 men vote for Flint. However, it is revealed that they were intercepted by Silver who offered them a deal: they are to tell Flint that the Spanish have taken the gold back to Spain, while another, smaller crew goes and gets the gold, giving Nicholas and Vincent a larger cut than they otherwise would have[3].

While sailing to Charles Town to return Abigail Ashe, Nicholas  and Vincent listen to speech Silver is giving to the men. He is explaining the danger they face in Charles Town, and how every man on the crew needs to be alert and performing their duties as ably as possible. During this speech, Nicholas is seen laughing by Silver. Belowdecks, Silver and Vincent corner Nicholas. Silver reminds them of the plan and how it only works if they continue playing the part. Nicholas replies that he knows all this but Silver tells him that they all face grave danger in Charles Town, and attention will be called to them if Nicholas keeps smiling or laughing inappropriately. Nicholas tells him that no one knows or suspects anything and storms off. Silver then tells Vincent that Nicholas could be a big problem for them. Later that night, Vincent meets Silver in the galley. He explains that Nicholas is torn up about betraying the men and it is making him act foolishly. Silver then says that if there is something Vincent can say to Nicholas, he should do so. Vincent remarks that it is a bit late for that, and reveals that he sabotaged the footing line of the main mast where Nicholas is working. When the line snaps, Nicholas falls to his death. While the body was being prepared for the funeral, Silver drags Vincent away to speak with him. He asks Vincent why he killed Nicholas, and Vincent explains that Silver gave him a look which he then interpreted as "take care of it." Silver is aghast, and says that when Flint issues orders, Silver has to make a big show to the crew about how it's in their best interests, but Silver gives a look and Vincent is willing to kill a man. Vincent says it is because he believes that Silver actually cares about his interests[4]

After the ship docks in Charles Town's harbor, Silver goes below to get gossip from Randall to entertain the men. However, he finds Randall stabbed to death. Vincent then grabs Silver from behind, covering his mouth so he doesn't cry out. When Silver sees it's Vincent, he calms down. The two then hide in the galley while Charles Vane's men begin killing the men sleeping in the hammocks. They wait out the attack in the galley, while the rest of the crew is killed or captured. Silver says that they have to stop Vane and his men from sailing away from Charles Town, or else they will be discovered and killed. Silver decides to cut the forestay, forcing Vane and his men to remain at anchor or risk losing the foremast entirely. Before doing so, Vincent asks if Silver is doing this for their sake, or the rest of the crew's. Vane then goes belowdecks to investigate the cause of the forestay snapping and he finds Silver standing before him. Vincent then comes up behind him and puts a knife to his throat. Before anything more can happen, they are interrupted by the Boat Captain from the Charles Town Militia arriving. He announces that Captain Flint has been captured and will be put on trial. The pirates have until the conclusion of the trial to leave the city, or they will be killed or captured. Vane then subdues both Silver and Vincent, and they are shackled along with the rest of the crew. However, Vane resolves to remain behind and rescue Flint[5]

After Vane leaves, taking half of his men with him, the rest are left under command of the quartermaster, Jenks, aboard the ship with the prisoners from Flint's crew. While pretending to retch over the side of the ship, Vincent overhears Jenks and Yardley discussing their odds escaping the harbor with the Charles Town Fleet guarding it. After Jenks walks away, Vincent gets Yardley's attention and tells him that he can help them get out of Charles Town. Silver is then brought in to the captain's cabin and finds Vincent there with Jenks. Jenks explains his predicament: he and his crew want to leave, but they don't have the manpower required to sail the ship. Jenks  attempted to compel Silver to make a list of those captured men most likely to join his crew. Vincent explained to Silver that he told Jenks that they don't have a real connection to the rest of the crew.  Upon surmising that those not on the list would be slaughtered, Silver refused, and Vincent was shot dead by Jenks to further persuade Silver to cooperate. After losing his leg, when Silver awakes he finds Flint standing over him, and he informs Silver of his election as quartermaster. Silver then tells Flint that in his dying breath, Vincent confessed that he had lied to Flint and sold the information regarding the Urca de Lima to another crew[6]

Season Three[]

While the crew is starving in the Doldrums, Flint and Silver row out to a dead whale floating nearby to see if they can feed the crew with it. En route, Silver stops rowing and confesses to Flint that he lied to him and it was really he who orchestrated the scheme behind giving the location of the gold to Jack Rackham[7]
