Biography []
Season Three[]
Zaki is part of the group of Maroons that captures the crew of the Walrus under Kofi’s leadership[1]. They lead the pirates back to the Maroon Camp, where the Maroon Queen asks Flint and John Silver as to how they arrived on the Maroon Island. They answer that they were chased into a storm and were thrown onto their shores by chance. The Queen picks out Parker to be questioned while the rest of the pirates are imprisoned[2].
Mr. Scott and Flint try to negotiate a partnership between the pirates and Maroons. At night, Zaki brings Flint to the Queen to make his pitch. He is able to reach a deal with her where the pirates and Maroons form an alliance in order to overthrow colonial rule in the New World, hoping to draw other pirate crews and Maroons and slaves to their alliance[3].
Zaki and a contingent of Maroons join the Walrus crew as they sail to Ocracoke Island so that Flint can reclaim the Pirate Fleet. However, Edward Teach refuses to relinquish leadership or join Flint’s war. The two decide to duel over control over the fleet. Zaki watches as Flint seemingly shoots Teach dead, however, the bullet only grazes his head. The two then duel with swords, and Teach eventually wears Flint down and prepares to strike the finishing blow when Charles Vane intervenes. An angry Teach then orders Flint to take Vane and get off his island[4].
The Walrus returns to the Maroon Island. There, Flint, Vane and the Queen formulate a new plan. The Walrus will return to Nassau where they will proclaim Flint’s return, and begin searching for Jack Rackham and his cache of gems. The gems will then be returned to the island in order to force Governor Rogers into committing his forces to a battlefield where he will have the disadvantage, for failure to return the jewels to Spain will cause the Spanish to send Havana’s Fleet to raze Nassau. When they arrive in Nassau, Kofi and Zaki escort Madi to the back of the Tavern so she can meet with Eme and retrieve the weapons stockpile that her father Mr. Scott had maintained over the years. When it is done, they rendezvous with Silver, who had entered the Tavern to declare that Flint has returned, and they return to the ship[5].
Flint and Vane successfully lead a mission to rescue Jack Rackham and the cache from Governor Rogers, but Vane is captured. Billy stays to free him while the rest of the crew flees New Providence with Benjamin Hornigold on their tail. When they arrive at the Maroon Island, they execute a risky maneuver in shallow water that convinces Hornigold to retreat[6].
Zaki participates in the defense of the island when Rogers’ Fleet arrives. After their shore defenses are battered by the fleet’s cannons, the British deploy the Redcoats ashore. The pirates and Maroons then fire volleys at them with their muskets and rifles, but the Redcoats use their mortars on them, eventually forcing Flint lead a retreat. At the camp, the defenders prepare for the British forces to arrive. Madi finds a young boy who was hiding by the river, and leads him to the underground cave where the women and children are hiding. Zaki mans the trapdoor that hides its entrance, and opens and closes it for Madi. Eventually the British arrive, but are caught in an ambush when Flint leads pirates and Maroons concealed in the brush in attacking them. The British forces suffer massive casualties, and are forced to retreat. Afterwards, Flint, Silver, Madi, Teach (who'd arrived with his fleet mid-battle) and Rackham sit down and plot the Invasion of Nassau[7].
Season Four []
Zaki is on the Walrus as it sails into the bay during the invasion. However, the entrance to the bay is blocked by Scuttled Ships, and Flint gives the order for all the sails to be let loose to slow them down and to try and avoid the barricade. Zaki follows the order, but the ship is grounded along with two others, and they come under fire from the fort's cannons.Eventually, Flint is forced to order them to abandon ship, and Zaki makes it to the fallback position on the eastern shore, where they rendezvous with the Pirate Resistance led by Billy Bones, who leads to them to his headquarters at the Barlow Estate[8].
Zaki prepares with the rest of the pirates and Maroons for the assault on the Underhill estate. That night, the Resistance attacks and is able to seize the plantation. However, after they learn that the relatives of the slaves will be tortured on the other plantations, Flint and Madi try to lead a retreat so they can instead assault Nassau. Billy, consumed by hatred for Flint, refuses, and the Resistance splits into two factions and begin fighting. When the New Providence Militia arrives, Flint and Madi lead their men, Zaki included, in retreating[9].
Flint and Madi escape with a handful of men to an Abandoned House. Zaki remains while Madi and Kofi go into Nassau Town to meet with an informant. Using the information she learns, they rescue John Silver from the Governor's men. Afterwards, they lead the townspeople of Nassau in revolt against Captain Berringer's forces. Together with Billy's men, who arrive mid-battle, they rout the British soldiers and seize the town[10].

When Madi returns to town from the Underhill Estate, Zaki helps Kofi and Obi escort her to the beach. Later, Zaki and Obi accompany Madi in rendezvousing with Eleanor and Flint, thinking that Kofi is also arriving with the cache on the southern coast so they can complete their deal to surrender the fort for the jewels. However it is Jack Rackham who arrives[11].
Eleanor decides to take Flint back to the fort as she has not received the ransom for him. He, Madi and Obi follow Eleanor to insure that no harm befalls Flint, however they are forced to detour to Miranda Barlow's house to avoid the Spanish invasion. He aids Flint and the redcoats in killing the party of Spanish soldiers who happened upon on the house. While Flint, Obi and three of the surviving redcoats pursue the survivors, he remains to guard Madi and Eleanor along with another redcoat. While the redcoat stands watch outside the house, he remains within, however he is sent outside at Madi's behest so she could speak in private with Eleanor. He and the redcoat are later killed by a Spanish soldier who they thought had been killed in the initial assault[12].
